Match-three games turn simple swaps into board planning

Judge fairness by repeated experience: does the game provide useful choices, or does success depend mainly on purchased boosts and fortunate drops?

Losing one level proves little. A pattern of unwinnable-looking openings and immediate sales prompts deserves skepticism.

The surrounding loop matters

Many match-three games use lives, maps, daily rewards, streaks, boosters, advertisements, or purchases. Those systems are not required by matching itself. A casual game can use the mechanic without adopting every monetization habit in the cupboard.
